Welcome back! We're flying at about half-staff here, but that doesn't stop us from bringing you an interview with director Frank Woodward. Frank's company, Wyrd Films has produced the documentary Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown, a film that details who Mr. Lovecraft was and why his work has inspired and terrified so many people. By the way, you can now view the film online on SnagFilms.com (here) or through Netflix (here). Here he talks with Matt Staggs about the making of the film and Lovecraft himself. If you've never read Lovecraft before, but want to give him a shot, why not start with the book we've featured in this post? It's called Bloodcurdling Tales of Horror and the Macabre: The Best of H. P. Lovecraft and it collects some of the best H. P. Lovecraft stories to be found.
But if you're looking for something a little different, then in the spirit of the Wyrd Films documentary, why not check out some more contemporary authors tackling Lovecraft's mythos?
